Nadezhda Korshakova
Serious prize-winner, Nadezhda Korshakova was born in
St.Petersburg, Russia and started playing violin at the age of 4.
She studied with three main teachers: Prof. Lev Ivaschenko at
St. Petersburg Pre-Conservatory Music School, Prof. Irina
Bochkova at Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory, and
Prof.Zakhar Bron, first at Reina Sofía School of Music in
Madrid, then at Zurich University of The Arts. Nadezhda
Korshakova has been long time assistant to Prof.Z.Bron in
Zurich (2003-2017). Awarded funds from Yankelevich
Foundation, Rostropovich Foundation in Russia, and from
Isaak Albeniz Foundation in Spain. Nadezhda has won many
prizes in international and national competitions (among
others "Prague Spring", Czech Republic, 2003, and D.Oistrach
International Violin Competition, Odessa, Ukraine, 2004), and
participated in various international festivals including Verbier
Festival & Academy, Santander Music Festival, Orford Music
Festival.
She is performing in Russian and European cities, working
with orchestras and playing chamber music and duos with
notable musicians as Gerard Caussé, Itamar Golan, and
Aleksandr Melnikov among others.
She maintains a wide range of repertoire from baroque,
classical, romantic to modern era, covering more than 30
violin concertos, wide spectre of sonatas, chamber music
pieces etc. Nadezhda's performance is characterised by
beautiful tonal expression, delicate taste, warmth, and
imagination, combined with strong formal conception
allowing her to locate herself in any given musical moment.
Nadezhda Korshakova currently resides in Zurich dividing her
time between her family, work in the Zurich Opera House,
chamber music and solo performances, and teaching practice.
