Michael Kabanovsky

Michael Kabanovsky was born in 2008. He is a student at Käthe
Kollwitz Gymnasium in Berlin.
He received his first piano lesson at age six from Svetlana
Andreeva, who remains his piano teacher. Michael consistently
participates in the “Jugend Musiziert” competition and received
first prizes in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. In addition to
receiving first place, he was recognized with a special Steinway &
Sons Berlin award in 2021. In 2020 he was distinguished with a
special prize at the Carl-Bechstein Stiftung.
Michael had numerous stage performances in Germany and
internationally, including at the Konzerthaus in Berlin and the
Tchaikovsky Concert House in Moscow, where he was invited to
perform at the Spivakov Moscow Meets Friends International
Competition. He is a member of the International Music
Academy in Berlin. Michael was recently accepted to the Julius
Stern Institute at the Universität der Künste.
