Stepan Syvokhyp
Stepan is born in November 2004 in Lviv ( Lemberg) in a Family of
musicians . At the age of 6 he started to play piano in the class of a
famous piano teacher in Ukraine Oksana Rapita at the specialised
music school named by Solomiya Krushelnytska in Lviv . In 2016
he started to learn Oboe and in just few years he became one of
best in his age category in Ukraine . Stepan is studying Oboe in
the class of Mr Levko Zakopets on the Krushelnytska School . He
took part in the Masterclass of Prof. Jerzy Kotyczka from Krakau
and in the Masterclass of Swiss Oboe Professor Gunhard Mattes .
Stepan is the first price winner of the international wind player
competition “Surmy Bukovyny” and was chosen as one of the
best in the 4.th all Ukrainian youth music festival “Talents of the
nation”.
As a soloist , Stepan already played with the philharmonic
orchestra of Lviv and Rivne as well as symphony orchestra of
Zelena Gora in Poland. Stepan was also invited to play as a soloist
with the orchestra “INSS”-Lviv in Switzerland under the
conductor Simon Camartin, in Stockholm (Sweden) he played in
the famous concert hall Musikalska as the guest of the festival
“Rethink Europe” and also with big success in the Copernicus
Center in Chicago ( USA) .
